It all starts with an idea.
In 1999 I developed a business plan and oversaw the development of The Sod Farm, Inc. in Loris, South Carolina. As an owner, involved in the day-to-day operations, I realized that one of the biggest reasons people came to The Sod Farm to purchase sod was they had lost all, or part of their lawn. This had occurred by the inexperience, and sometimes incompetence, of the individual or company providing them with lawn care.
I quickly recognized that homeowners in our area needed the option of hiring a competent lawn care company who could manage a lawn properly by diagnosing and treating the lawn for disease and insects, as well as provide pre-emergent and post emergent treatments, fertilize the species of grass correctly and be able to do all of this affordably.
I set out to do research and obtained my Turf Grass Management Certification from the University of Georgia. I purchased my first Sprinter Van and came up with a custom designed system using a 3 tank spray system. This showed my commitment to truly taking care of each client's lawn based on it's individual needs. I created the All Inclusive Program and set out to create some Happy, Healthy Lawns!
On April 1, 2009 I serviced my first client in Little River. It was me, the van and a cell phone. Now Greenwize services over 1000 clients. We have 3 Sprinter Vans and Full Time Salaried employees. We use web based mobile device technology to record and track client records and Google Application Software to communicate with the Technicians in real time.
I have kept my commitment to helping homeowners create and keep a Happy, Healthy Lawn. I am thankful for each and every one of my clients and their repeated referrals of their neighbors and friends!
